Huston/McDermed Gay Men’s Scholarships at Herron School of Art and Design

It is the intent of the Donor, and the Foundation agrees, that income from this gift be used to support scholarships for students enrolled at the Herron School of Art and Design who agree to have their names listed on the Scholarship’s recognition list which will reside in a prominent hallway near Herron’s Admissions and Student Services Office. Because, as part of its mission, Indiana University is committed to diversity, special consideration will be given to underrepresented populations, including but not limited to financially challenged students, and/or students with diverse cultural experiences. The Donor has a preference for students who identify as gay men. Income from the gift will be split as follows: 35% to the Huston/McDermed Gay Men’s Dean's Scholarship, 25% to the Huston/McDermed Gay Men’s Study/Travel Scholarship, and 40% to the Huston/McDermed Gay Men's GPA Recognition Scholarship.
