As the DACA point person Karina serve as the primary point of contact for DACA students and Undocumented student. She provides information on available resources and services, coordinate workshops, presentations and trainings for faculty, staff and students regarding DACA and the challenges that DACA/Undocumented Students may face, and serves the university system wide DACA committee to review legislative changes affecting DACA students.

Prior to joining the Multicultural Center, Karina served as the Coordinator for Social Justice Education in the Office of Student Involvement. While in her coordinator role Karina helped to develop the major programming for Social Justice Education through events such as IUPUI’s cultural heritage month programming, cultural dinners, and the social justice education workshop series.
