Chancellor’s Diversity Lecture Series

Winona LaDuke is an internationally renowned activist and Program Director of the Honor the Earth working on issues of sustainable development renewable energy and food systems. She has been especially active fighting against the fossil fuel industry’s abuse of indigenous lands and waterways. She lives and works on the White Earth reservation in northern Minnesota, and is a two-time vice presidential candidate with Ralph Nader for the Green Party. She spent years successfully fighting the Sandpiper pipeline and is a key Water Protector and activist in the No Dakota Access Pipeline Movement.
