Critical Conversations

A space for informal, unfussy, intellectual dialogue

Wednesday, September 04, Noon to 1:15 p.m., University Library, UL1126

  • Learn about an IUPUI initiative to help faculty, staff, and students recognize and address implicit bias to enhance diversity and inclusion on campus.
  • Explore how implicit bias impacts institutions of higher education in regards to recruitment, work, student outcomes, and relationships.
  • Help inform perceptions about implicit bias and future actions to support a welcoming, inclusive community at IUPUI.*
  • Try out one or more of the online implicit association tests before attending! (It’s free!)

Dan Griffith, Director of Conflict Resolution and Dialogue Programs, will facilitate a very briefintroductory workshop on the topic. You are then invited to add your insights, ask questions, share your challenges, push back or offer counter viewpoints.

The point isn’t to identify a one-size-fits-all approach, but to keep talking and explore how we can have authentic conversations to enrich our relationships and support an inclusive and welcoming campus culture.

We would like to hear from you!
