Native American Heritage Month (November)

QUARTERLY NAFSC MEETINGS 
NAFSC meetings are held quarterly on Fridays from 9a-10a in Cavanaugh Hall CA323. The meeting
schedule for 2014-2015 is as follows:

2014: Friday, October 3, 2014
         Friday, December 6, 2014

2015: Friday, March 6, 2015
         Friday, May 1, 2015

CULTURE CIRCLE

NAFSC and NASA unite in monthly cultural arts circle where a Native art is examined and discussed.
An art project is introduced and every participant who pre-registers is given art supplies for the
project of the month. The Culture Circle schedule for 2015 is as follows:

January: Jingle Dresses (Sioux)

February: Possible Bags (Choctaw, Cheyenne, Cherokee, and more)

March: Button Blankets (Haida, Tlingit, Tsinshian, and more)

April: Gourd Rattles (Kiowa, Comanche, Apache, and more)

LONG NIGHT MOON CELEBRATION

This is a year-end celebration which includes NAFSC members, family and friends as well as community members. We congratulate our Native graduates with a pitch-in held in different locations throughout campus and the community! It is a fun afternoon of food, music and celebrating the successes of a positive and productive academic year!
